If you prefer to avoid the crowds and enjoy milder temperatures, spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October) are ideal options. Moreover, during these periods, accommodation prices are often lower than in the high season.

From the airport, you can take a taxi, bus, or train to Torremolinos. The travel time is approximately 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the mode of transport.
A flight to Torremolinos costs on average €166 during the high season, and in the low season, you can sometimes score a ticket for €99. It’s worth searching, but tickets to Malaga are generally affordable. This makes for a good start to your city trip to Torremolinos.
Train
If you prefer to travel by train, there is a direct train connection between Málaga and Torremolinos. The Cercanías C1 train runs between Málaga and Fuengirola and stops in Torremolinos. The travel time from Málaga is about 25 minutes, and the train runs regularly throughout the day.

Regular hotels are available from €55 per night. If you want something more luxurious, you’ll pay from €100 per night. These are both reasonable prices. Despite being a Spanish coastal town, Torremolinos is very affordable. Eating and drinking are also not expensive. You can easily dine out three times a day. An average meal in a local restaurant costs between €7 and €15.
This includes your drinks. If you like to seek the sun but don’t want to spend too much money, Torremolinos is the perfect destination.
Crocodrilos Park Torremolinos
The Crocodrilos Park in Torremolinos is a zoo that focuses on reptiles. Here you can find various turtles, lizards, and of course, crocodiles. In the Crocodrilos Park, you can also find the largest crocodiles in Europe. If you’re traveling with children, this park is also recommended. They regularly organize special tours for children. The beach of La Carihuela
La Carihuela is the most popular neighborhood in Torremolinos. It is an old fishing village and a very cozy area to walk through. If you’ve walked enough and want to relax, head to the beach of La Carihuela.
Besides the picturesque village area, you can also find the most beautiful beach in Torremolinos here. On the promenade, you can find all kinds of trendy beach bars. Fun for young and old. The beach bars are called chiringuitos here. These are open beach bars where you can enjoy ice-cold drinks and delicious traditional tapas and snacks. Especially the pescaito frito, fried fish, is a big favorite among the locals. Definitely a tip to try if you like fish.
You can easily spend a whole day here. In the morning, enjoy walking through the narrow streets of La Carihuela, in the afternoon snorkeling and swimming in the sea, and in the evening dining in one of the many restaurants along the boulevard. Day trip to Malaga
As mentioned earlier, Torremolinos is very close to Malaga. If you want to visit a more urban city, Malaga is definitely recommended. Malaga is also a combination of a coastal town with an urban center, but it gives you a bit more of that real city feeling. With just a 20-minute drive, you are in the center of Malaga. If you don’t have your own car, no worries. There is also a bus running between Torremolinos and Malaga. It takes you back and forth from Malaga to Torremolinos for less than €4.
