Revolution Square
The fall of communism is actually quite recent. When the Berlin Wall fell about 35 years ago, Romanians also rose up and gathered at this square because the then-communist dictator Ceausescu was residing in his palace here at the time. Since that moment, this square has been named the Square of the Revolution.
Cismigiu Gardens and Herastrau Park
In the heart of the Romanian capital lies the largest and oldest park in Bucharest. Transportation in Bucharest
In Bucharest, you can easily travel around using public transportation. The metro is the fastest and most reliable way. There are four metro lines that conveniently take you to major attractions like the Palace of Parliament and the old town.
