Discovering the Big Apple on a bike is a fun and active way of sightseeing. Our Central Park Bike Rental is an excellent way to get to know this huge green oasis, one of NYC’s top attractions. Ride under the shade of the American Elm Trees on Literary Walk, visit the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace for a lakeside view of the classic rowboats, or stop for a break and take in the skyline views. The park stretches 3.41 km² or 1.31 m² so there’s a lot to see and do, and on a bike you can be sure not to miss a thing.

Rent a Bike and discover one of NYC’s highlights: Central Park

A bike is by far the best means of transport within the park. After you’re finished exploring the park, you can ride up to the Upper West Side, or cycle down to Lower Manhattan and cross the Hudson River via the Brooklyn Bridge. With our Central Park bike rental, you don’t have to be confined only to the park. Reach places you wouldn’t otherwise be able to reach by bike, and at affordable prices. Plus, our experts at the shop will be happy to give you insider tips about the best routes around town.

Prices:
2 hours: $19
4 hours: $30,50
8 hours: $34,50
24 hours: $71
2 days: $109
3 days: $136,50
1 week: $218

Please note: for multi-day rentals, the bikes should be stored inside. Check with your accommodation if this is possible. If this is not possible, you need to book separate reservations for every day of the rental and bring back the bikes at night. We can’t offer multi-day discounts if the bikes can’t be stored inside at your accommodation and need to be returned every day.*

We had an excellent Belgian guide (***) on our guided tour of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The group was large, but the route was fun! What I find really frustrating is that you have to leave ID behind. First of all, this is prohibited. As a Dutch citizen, you should NEVER hand over your passport, driver's license, or ID card. Leaving an ID card (or other proof of identity) behind is prohibited under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Providing ID as a deposit (e.g., hotel, bike rental, etc.): This may not be requested or demanded. ID is strictly personal and contains a lot of sensitive information. You may ask to see ID for verification, but you may not confiscate or copy it. As a customer, I may refuse and explain that this is prohibited under the GDPR. An alternative deposit amount or showing ID without leaving it behind is also possible.

We rented bikes without a guided tour. Picking up the bikes was a bit chaotic, and we couldn't get going until about an hour later. One of the bikes had a gear shift that didn't kick in. Otherwise, it was fine.

Great bikes, it's a shame the staff who give bikes to customers don't know they also rent them through Baja Bikes. That was a bit unclear, but everything was handled properly at the counter. Maybe put a sign outside the door or facade saying "Baja Bikes Rental"?

Very satisfied with Baja Bikes, friendly service and excellent bikes, helmet, and lock. A few areas for improvement: 1. They ask for ID, which is simply not acceptable. Just take a picture. 2. No lights on the bikes, which meant we couldn't go for an evening ride. 3. No bike bell.
