The Highlights of Edinburgh Bike Tour starts by cycling down the Royal Mile (the city’s most historic street). You will pass the new Scottish Parliament Building & Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Family’s Edinburgh residence, where you will enter Holyrood Park. You will ride along cycle paths & quiet roads until you ascend Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano which offers the most panoramic views of the spectacular coastal setting. On a clear day, even the mountains of the Scottish Highlands can be seen.
Having taken in the stunning views you will begin the long descent as this quiet road winds its way along the craggy contours into the sleepy Duddingston Village. Passing the ancient 12th Century church, you will enter a remarkable ‘secret garden’ known as Dr Neil’s Garden on the shores of Duddingston Loch, now a bird & wildlife sanctuary. The nearby pub, Scotland’s oldest inn, the Sheep’s Heid, is a welcome stop for a refreshing drink with its pleasant garden terrace. Afterwards, you will return to the city along the Innocent Cycle Path a former railway line now a popular ‘rails to trails’ cycleway which brings you back to the starting place of the tour. Of course, there will be enough time to take pictures during the tour and you can ask your guide questions at any time. Our guides are the best source of information so feel free to ask them anything or everything about the city, like where to get the best Scottish haggis.

Turlough was the best guide ever!
It was a great trip with a very enthusiastic guide full of good stories (and a useful and clearly disclosed distinction between "this is a good story" and "this is actual history" ;-)) I upgraded to the e-bike and highly recommend doing so unless you are a very fit bike rider. Even without my personal foot issues, I think the ride was pretty steep and long up towards Arthur's Seat.
It was great fun! The bikes were great and the host did a great job! Very funny, informative and relaxed!
We had a great tour, beautiful surroundings, lots of interesting facts, and a really fun guide. Highly recommended!
Het was een hele leuke tour ,veel gezien en enorm gelachen met onze gids mama duck.
We enjoyed and had a lot of fun. It was also Good that we did not follow the standard usual routes But also around the cities
Nice and funny trip. Our guide was a verry nice person who told a lot off nice info about Edinbrugh
Ik adviseer een e bike ivm heuvels. Onze gids Turlough was geweldig. Had veel verhalen en feiten te vertellen. Omdat we alleen met Nederlanders waren verraste hij ons ook met zijn Nederlandse woordenschat. De tocht rond Arthurs Seat is verrassend . Een aanrader
