The tour starts at the Yuen Long MTR station (Exit E). The guide takes you along and together you cycle through picturesque villages. Some of these are as old as 1,000 years. On this bike tour, you will discover the beautiful countryside of this region. The villages of Shui Tau and Shui Mei are not to be missed. You will also see in Shui Mei the Ancestral Hall of the Tang Clan and the famous Tree-House.

Next you will cross the river by bicycle, this in a traditional rowboat. After this you will continue cycling to Nam Sang Wai, one of the most important swamp areas. In winter it is the perfect place to spot migratory birds. The guide will tell you lots of fun facts. For example, did you know that the villages and fish farms in the region help to protect the area? Of course, there is also time to take fun photos.

You continue your way to a unique experience. Cycling across the bridge between fish ponds is truly unforgettable. Pedal your way to the border between Hong Kong and mainland China. You will even cycle past the border fence, something you won’t soon forget. After this hidden gem, go back to the meeting point, where our tour will end.

Really great experience and loved the variety of scenery and sights on the way. Initially I was a bit daunted by the length of the tour (27km) but it was virtually flat and *** has built in several stops and water breaks which helped. He was very informative and patient and we had a great time. Would highly recommend.
