You will meet the guide at Tsim Sha Tsui station (Exit K). From here, you take the subway to Yuen Long, a village in the northwest of Hong Kong. From Yuen Long, your bike tour starts! At a relaxed pace, you will ride to the picturesque villages, some as old as 1,000 years, and the beautiful countryside of this region. Among others, you will visit Shui Tau and Shui Mei, where you get to see the famous Tree-House and the Ancestral Hall of the Tang Clan.
You cross the river by bike in a traditional rowboat and continue cycling to Nam Sang Wai. This wetland is one of the most important ones in Hong Kong, and in winter you can see hundreds of thousands of migratory birds here. Did you know that the region’s fish farms and villages help to protect this area?
The next stop is a typical local family farm, where you will learn more about the local production and what daily life is like here. Feed the goats and fish and taste a delicious Cantonese snack before cycling back to the meeting point, where the tour ends.
Of course, there will be enough time for pictures and your guide will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
