After doing a tour you will have a good impression of the city and your local English-speaking guide can give you some helpful insider tips, which you can benefit from during the rest of your stay.
Our tour starts at a 2-minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia Museum. From here, a local experienced guide will take you along the sights and show you some hidden spots as well. Furthermore, you will cycle through the Gulhane Park that was originally part of the Topkapi Palace and pass through the hippodrome near the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Then you will head towards the sea, passing the Arasta bazaar.
Near the traditional Kumkapi fish market you will see beautiful views of the Marmara Sea, the islands and the Asian side of Istanbul. You will then head via the Sehzade mosque, the spectacular 4th century Roman aqueduct Valens, and the Vefa district before reaching the Suleymaniye mosque after a short climb. This mosque is the most important work of architect Sinan during the Ottoman Empire and from here you will have great panoramic views.
After this, you will head back to the starting point in Sultanahmet via the Golden Horn and the bustling Eminonu District. Of course, there will be enough time to take pictures as well and your guide will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
The minimum of the tour is 3 participants. If you are with 2 people, there is a supplement of €25 per person. The minimum of the tour is €150.
