The meeting point for the Highlights of New Orleans Bike Tour is in the French Quarter. Start off riding down Esplanade Avenue , home to the city’s ancient Creole nobility. The boulevard is also known as “Avenue of the Creoles” and is a true treasure with its 19th-century mansions .
On the Esplanade you will visit one of the most famous cemeteries in the city, the St. Louis Cemetery, where you can admire the aboveground crypts and find out why the deceased are buried in this way. Continue through Bayou St. John to the City Park, where you will see one of the oldest oak trees in the world. Before leaving for Ursuline Avenue in the Tremé neighborhood, you will take a break in one of the local coffee houses. Then explore the birthplace of jazz music -the Congo Square in the Louis Armstrong Park before returning back to the meeting point.
