Our Tuscany Surroundings Tour starts in the Oltrarno are, outside the busy Florence city center. You will start biking with a slope, with enough stops so that you can enjoy the beautiful view and take some pictures. Once at the top, you will cycle through the neighborhood of the local Florentine nobility and their villas. We will visit a local farm where you will taste a Chianti wine and have an olive oil tasting. You get to know the local products made by small family businesses. After the tasting it is possible to buy the wine or olive oil and to take it home with you.
Before heading back to Florence, you will first visit the spectacular Piazzale Michelangelo. Here, you have one of the best overviews of the city and you will have time to take pictures. The route is approximately 11 km (7 mi.) and is mainly on paved roads with very little traffic.
