Great tour, good guide, very informative, nice route. I expected a bit more from a bike tour with children. This was a regular tour and not specifically for children, which I had booked/hoped for my 11-year-old daughter.

A really nice tour, which was easy to do despite the crowds. We spent plenty of time at important sites where they explained some of the history. It wasn't mentioned beforehand that we'd have a break (or maybe I misread it), but I would have appreciated knowing that beforehand. It was also going to rain (it had already been predicted), and I'd read that ponchos would be provided, but they didn't. These were two minor things I noticed, but I definitely recommend taking the bike tour to see and hear more about Rome in a short time.

It was a really fun activity, very special to cycle past the Colosseum in Rome. The guide was also very nice, very friendly, and she had lots of interesting stories to tell! We had three children, aged 7 and 9, who could easily cycle independently; they felt completely safe. (The 4-year-old sat on the back.) However, it was a scorching hot day, and I would have preferred the tour to be a bit shorter, or with more breaks in the shade. The last 45 minutes were just a bit too long for me. Also, a basket on the front would be nice for your bag, especially if you have a child on the back. (Or: the child seat could be mounted a bit further back; it was currently sitting tightly behind the saddle.) All in all: highly recommended!

When we arrived, I thought: What is this? We were the only ones there, and all we saw was a row of old, shabby bikes. The guys at the counter weren’t very informative and didn’t speak Dutch at all—even though we had booked a Dutch tour. “Fill in these forms,” they said. “No, we don’t need the booking number.” Not the warmest welcome. Luckily, after a few minutes, more people started to show up. Without us knowing, our guide was already there, quietly sitting on a Vespa. When it was time, she called us over to choose our steel horses. And what a surprise—they were light as a feather and rode beautifully! The tour itself was superb. Our guide turned out to be an art historian, incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. We visited many interesting spots around the city, stopped to take photos, and got fascinating background stories at each location. Totally worth it!
