The Madeira Levada bike tour is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to explore Madeira at a leisurely pace. The trail along the Levada da Serra watercourse winds through deserted and cultivated terraced fields. Here, various fruits and vegetables such as sugarcane, bananas, grapes, sweet potatoes, corn, tomatoes, and beans are grown.

The tour starts at our shop. Here, you’ll receive a detailed explanation and tips about the mountain bikes and the route. The guide is a true local and will take you to idyllic forest areas with old laurel and tree heath, majestic giant ferns, and fantastic views of the sea. So be sure not to forget your camera. There will be plenty of time to take beautiful photos.

Madeira Levada bike tour: A Unique Experience

Your senses will be treated to a feast during the tour. You’ll be guided by the scent of eucalyptus and herbs growing along the way—such as oregano, wild fennel, sorrel, valerian, and more. During the tour, you’ll occasionally be joined by friendly dogs, cats, chickens, and sheep. Of course, there’s also time to rest a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee, Brisa (a local soft drink), or a slice of homemade cake.

An unforgettable experience for cyclists! This experience is available to participants who are at least 15 years old and 1 meter 50 tall.
