Our advice: Do one of our guided tours on your first days in the city. This way, you can get an overview of the most important spots at the beginning of your trip already.
Keep in mind that this tour is quite hilly and not really suited for young kids. For less experienced cyclists we would advise the use of an e-bike.

485 rate this tour with 4.7 starsVery nice bike tour with an excellent guide.
This is the second time we booked a bike tour with Bajabikes. The first was in Barcelona, and this time in Rome. It was fantastic again. We chose the Via Appia route (the oldest road). It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was truly beautiful. You see Rome from a different perspective. Nature and history blend perfectly. Our guide, ***, was super friendly and explained everything in a fun way. Sometimes we had to cycle up a steep hill. That was quite challenging on a bike where pedaling in the lowest gear was quite difficult. And the oldest road was literally ancient.
*** was a fantastic guide during our Appian Way tour in Rome. We found the two stops along the way a little less interesting. But otherwise, it was a very enjoyable experience, with interesting explanations and a fun tour. Kudos to ***, and thank you!
It was a lot of fun, manageable even though I'm 80 and have a regular bike (almost all the younger participants opted for an electric bike). Unfortunately, my poor hearing meant I couldn't understand much of the fast-talking, Flemish-accented ***.
Great tour outside the city and along the Ancient Appian Way. Excellent Dutch guide. It was a fantastic afternoon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the bike tour. It was great to get outside the city and explore it at a leisurely pace by bike. The guide was very friendly and relaxed, and he paid close attention to our safety and was always eager to answer all our questions, sharing a wealth of information with us. Highly recommended!
Nice bike ride (via appia) With nice guide Thijs who gave correct explanation and guided the group safely through traffic.
Thijs was a very good guide with nice anecdotes and a very beautiful route. Fantastic experience. Thank you.
Interesting and fun bike tour, excellently explained by our guide ***
