Tbilisi bike tour: where ancient and modern meet

Your adventure starts in the center of Tbilisi. You will kick off the tour at the famous Dry Bridge Flea Market (Mshrali Khidi), full of vibrancy. Discover a mix of Soviet antiques, local art and unique souvenirs. Cycling through the crowds makes it a lot easier to absorb this special atmosphere. Then enjoy the colorful buildings and fountains in Orbeliani Square.

Our next stop is the iconic Bridge of Peace, a beautiful glass and steel structure that symbolizes modern Tbilisi. Next, cycle through Rike Park, a perfect place where nature and art come together. You continue your way to the Metekhi Church, the perfect time for some extra energy during this climb.

In the historic district of Avlabari, cycle through the narrow streets to our final stop: the impressive Sameba Cathedral (Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi). With its huge size and beautiful artwork, this is the largest religious structure in the South Caucasus and the perfect place for a short break to take beautiful photos in this serene setting.

We end our bike ride back downtown along the lively Rustaveli Avenue, the “Champs-Élysées of Georgia.” Feel the energy of the city as we cycle past the Georgian Parliament, the National Gallery and the Opera and Ballet Theater.

This route offers a wonderful overview of Tbilisi’s architecture and culture, returning to our central starting point.
