Cycle along through one of France’s most emblematic and bike-friendly cities on the Strasbourg Bike Tour. With more than 580km of bike paths, the capital of Alsace is a true cycling city. In 2013, Strasbourg was even ranked number 4, and even today, the city often appears in the top 10 bike-friendly cities.

A third of the city participates in a bike plan developed in 2011, and much of the city is car-free. On our Strasbourg Bike Tour, you’ll get to know the city with a local in no time.

Strasbourg Bike Tour: with experienced, local guide

Strasbourg offers a tremendous amount to visitors. It is the city where one of the greatest battles between France and Prussia was fought and also the city that was used as a bargaining chip for peace by France and her enemies. It was a Roman settlement, it was even once an independent territory with its own currency, it came into French hands, into German hands and then into French hands again.

All these stages brought architectural styles, language and culture. Thus Strasbourg (literal meaning: crossroads, because it is a crossroads between east, west, north and south) became a unique cultural and architectural mixture of medieval, German and French influence. And don’t forget the power blocks of the European Union: The Parliament, the European Commission and the Court of Human Rights.

The Strasbourg bike tour will show you it all, as the city is perfectly manageable by bike in 2 hours.

Nice tour with a good guide. It was May 1st, Labor Day, so it was wonderfully quiet on the streets for cycling.

The tour itself was fine. The communication beforehand was not. We had not received any notification that the tour time had been moved from the morning to the afternoon. Also, we arrived 15 minutes early ourselves, but the guide only showed up 10 minutes late.
